Lesson 5: Ask What Color It Is

This week in Japanese class, students are asking what color something is in Japanese and answering one of the six colors we learned. Students are also learning the "Akai Red" song.


Q: Ichigo wa nani iro desu ka? . いちご は なに いろ です か
A: Akai desu. . あかい です

Akai - red
Orenji - orange
Kiiroi - yellow
Midori - green
Aoi - blue
Murasaki - purple

Lesson 3: Japan Country Reports



This week, students drew a map of Japan, located the capital city of Japan, Tokyo. Students also drew the Japan flag and listed three Japan facts they know.

Lesson 2: Offer Someone Some Fruit



This week in Japanese class, students are learning how to offer someone different fruits in Japanese, how to sing the "Kudamono" (fruit) song, how to play the game "Fruits Basket", and how to make an origami banana. In the month of September, students are also writing the first five letters of the Japanese alphabet - あいうえお.

Offer Some Fruit**Fill in the orange part with a fruit name.

  • Banana o douzo. ばなな を どうぞ。
